Terms of use

Short and fair

The deal

Heed is a free social meditation log, run by Lars de Graaff in the Netherlands. By creating an account or using Heed you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Heed.

Your account

You need to be 16 or older. Keep your password to yourself and use your own email address. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, Edit profile, Delete account).

Your content

Notes, comments, and profile text you post remain yours. You give us permission to store and show them within Heed, according to the visibility settings you choose. Delete your content or account and that permission ends.

House rules: zero tolerance

Heed is for encouragement. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour: no harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, spam, impersonation, or anything illegal. Posts, comments, and profile text are screened automatically and content that breaks these rules is refused. You can report any session, comment, or profile, and block any user. Blocking hides that person's content from you straight away and alerts us to review the behaviour. We review reports and blocks within 24 hours, and remove content and terminate the accounts of people who break these rules.

Not medical advice

Heed helps you keep a meditation habit. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a treatment for any condition. For health concerns, talk to a professional.

The service

Heed is provided free and as is. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use. These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the new version appears here with a new date. Last updated: 22 August 2026. Questions: larsdgraaff@gmail.com.
